We are excited about the Minnow. This outreach vehicle ins 70% complete, set to hit the road summer 2021.
The Minnow started as a remedy to a common problem: too much tradeshow booth. Travelling to over a dozen shows pre-pandemic, the amount of materials to cart about was palpable. Banners, monitors, stands, racks, toys, tanks, a pool?!
The MacEwan University School of Business Project Management students took on this challenge, led by our own director Lee Burton. Establishing metrics such as portability, sustainable power, a "wow factor" and versatility. The result was The Minnow (aka Waterwheels). This trailer is designed as a mobile museum display, an exceptional tradeshow supplement, as well as an ingenious research station to track invasive species in the province.
Nearly constructed (over-schedule due to the pandemic), this unit will be ready to roll summer 2021. Featuring four feet of beautiful live tanks to display one of our most popular booth features: aquatic insects. Equipped with state-of-the-art heating, cooling, and solar power, we are excited for the thrill of a mobile aquarium that teaches, as well as researches.
Solar power is provided through the generosity of Go Power! a Victoria BC based company providing exceptional solar solutions for cabins and RV's.
