Iman Succar

Iman has developed strong leadership experience through her involvement in student organizations, community initiatives, and public service. She currently serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors for the Aquatic Biosphere Society of Canada, Academic Events Coordinator for the Western Inter-University Geoscience Conference (WIUGC), Events Executive for the Eritrean & Ethiopian Students' Association (EESA), and Workflow & Communications Coordinator for the Department of Surgery Automation Project. Passionate about environmental education and community engagement, Iman is committed to creating opportunities that bring people together and inspire meaningful impact.

“I’ve always been drawn to water, not just because it’s essential to life, but because of how easily aquatic ecosystems can be overlooked despite how important they are. Over time, I’ve come to really value conservation and education, especially helping people understand why these environments matter. What drew me to the Aquatic Biosphere Society is that it doesn’t just focus on protecting ecosystems, but also on inspiring people to care and take action. That’s something I really connect with, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
