Thanks to two groups of creative Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) Animation students, we have our wonderful logo animated. The Aquatic Biosphere Society works as a community partner with a number of schools, offering real life projects for students to hone their learned skills on in collaboration with a 'client'. Check this version out!
It begins with a turtle morphing into land, a nod to the creation of Turtle Island, the basis of many Indigenous People's creation stories of North America, to life above and below water. The tree bearing the fruit of nature, life sustenance and replenishment on land, with the rich variety of aquatic life below the surface. We have always loved our logo, so a shout out to the talented graphic designer Petar Dekich, on Fiverr for it. The animations students brought it to life with extra layers of the story embedded into it. NAIT created the collaborative opportunity with their Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. The Aquatic Biosphere Society is about water and the stories of life that surround it. Reconnecting people to our life source, deeply learning about water, its cycles, its impacts and extending knowledge about our own impacts on it. From local waters to global systems, all water on this planet is connected. What you do with it and to it, matters. Join us on this journey, connecting with the Story of Water, and understanding your personal chapter in that narrative. Let's show our water some love. This spring, get outside, touch the earth, hold the water.
