The University of Alberta wrapped up their Community Service Learning Program, the Non-Profit Board Internship (NPBI) last evening at Edmonton City Hall. It featured a graduation ceremony & displays of the work done by each of the participants. This was the 5th year The Aquatic Biosphere mentored an NBPI Intern & we were delighted to attend the ceremony. Congratulations to Valencia Das and thank you for being a part of the Aquatic Biosphere for 8 months.
Valencia worked on a project to turn our "Water We Doing" podcast episodes into learning materials for the classroom. She created a base template and completed two episode plans. We are ready to get the rest of the episodes done over the summer.
Thanks also to Arie de Jong, our Board Director in charge of Youth Programs for her excellent work in guiding this program. This program wouldn't run without her.
